A deeply moving and historic highlight of the evening was the moment Ms. Le Ly Hayslip, humanitarian and founder of the Global Village Foundation, presented to the family of the late Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Co Thach the original letter he had written to her on April 3rd, 1989. This invaluable document not only served as an official testament of the Vietnamese Government’s support for Ms. Hayslip’s charitable endeavors in Da Nang, but also stood as a powerful symbol of the late Minister’s strategic foresight, humanitarian vision, and proactive diplomacy in fostering ties with the overseas Vietnamese community, laying a foundational stone for the nation’s enduring progress.
